RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT COORDINATOR - FULL TIME

COLUMBIA, MO

We have an immediate opening for a Residential Support Coordinator to provide supervision and leadership for the residential facility, Harambee House, which provides services to those with serious mental illness. Will be part of the residential on-call rotation. Must obtain CPR, First Aid, and Level One Med Aide certification. Will train. Full time days with full benefits including medical insurance, paid holidays, paid leave, and a 403 (b) retirement plan. Qualifications: Masters or bachelor’s with experience in the mental health field preferred. Degree must be in social work, psychology, human services, or related fields. Nursing Home Administrator License preferred, but willingness to work towards this a must. Job duties include, but not limited to: Providing oversight, caring atmosphere, clinical leadership and training to residential staff. Participate in referral and placement of consumers. Complete staff scheduling for the site and arrange coverage for staff. Implement, monitor, and abide by company policy. Know and implement all applicable licensure requirements. Administer medications, transcribe physician orders, and complete medication reorder.Plan menus, ensure staff maintain a safe, clean household environment for the consumers. EOE

PSYCHOSOCIAL REHABILITATION SUPERVISOR/QUALIFIED MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL (QMHP) - FULL TIME

COLUMBIA, MO

Position Overview: New Horizons is looking for a Full-time Psychosocial Rehabilitation Supervisor/QMHP/Screening Specialist to direct our day program for adults with mental illness and to provide screenings for new consumers in our Columbia, MO site. Duties include oversight and implementation of educational, recreational and vocational activities, providing therapy and psychoeducation groups, screenings, assessments and treatment planning. Supervision duties of a team of Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialists and Peer Support Specialists. Work Hours and Benefits: Fulltime days Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with full benefits including medical insurance, paid holidays, paid sick & vacation leave, and a 403(b)-retirement plan. Participates in the supervisory on-call rotation- approximately one week every four weeks. Qualifications: This position requires a compassionate positive person with experience in mental health and a master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Vocational Counseling, Pastoral Counseling, or Family Therapy, and successful completion of a practicum or one year of experience under the supervision of a mental health professional or is an Occupational Therapist certified by the American Occupational Therapy Certification board, registered in MO. Experience in Community Psychiatric Rehabilitation preferred; background in Recreation Therapy or Activities preferred. EOE

$30,000 to $32,000 starting salary, depending on experience and qualifications. Immediate full time opening to provide case management and rehabilitation services to adults with serious mental illness. Challenging work with a variety of responsibilities. Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, nursing or a related human services field including education, criminal justice, recreational therapy, human development and family studies, counseling, child development, gerontology, and rehabilitation counseling. Equivalent experience in psychiatric and/or substance abuse treatment may be substituted on the basis of one year of experience for each year of required educational training.
